Before your session:
How do I book with you? +
Pop me a message on the Talk to Me page and I will get you all set up
What is your retainer fee and when is it due? +
My non-refundable retainer is 50% of your session or $500 of your wedding fee, and is due at the time of booking. The balance is due the day of your session, or 30 days before your wedding.
What type of camera do you use?
I use a professional Sony camera with several lenses that I feel keep my photos sharp and clean.
Do you travel? +
Absolutely! I love to travel! Contact me for an exact quote
What if it rains or is cloudy on the day of my session? +
Bad weather happens to the best of us and doesn't necessarily mean that we have to cancel our session! Cloudy days are some of the best days for photos. In the event of rain or snow, I will contact you 24 hours before our session to reschedule.
How long should I plan to be at my session? +
Mini sessions are 30 minutes, Regular portrait sessions are up to 1 hour, Newborn sessions range from 90 minutes to 4 hours, and weddings are anywhere from 4-10 hours of coverage.
What locations do you recommend for portrait sessions?
I have several beautiful locations that I love using for sessions, all which vary greatly depending on what setting you're looking for. Urban, Country, Barns, and Fields. We can find a space that fits your style and vision!
What do we wear to our session? +
After you book your session with me, we will go over in detail the perfect palette for your session. I have pinterst boards for every session type and will help you every step of the way. For my newborn sessions, I like for my families to wear neutral colors or black and to be as comfortable as possible. I also have a full client closet for my Maternity and specialized sessions.
We missed the newborn window, can we still schedule? +
Absolutely! We can still schedule a session for your sweet baby, but please understand that we will not be able to do traditional newborn posing and that baby will most likely be awake for most of the session.
What if my baby comes early or late? +
Please give me a call within 48 hours of birth, and we will adjust your session date to your delivery date. I understand that nothing with birth is planned so I do my best to accomodate every situation that might arise.
Do we need to bring anything to our Newborn session? +
Aside from yourselves and the baby, no. I have wraps and outfits and props and everything we will need for our session. However, if there is something special to you - a blanket, a stuffed animal, please feel free to bring those with you! I love incorporating family heirlooms and special things in my sesisons.
During Your Session:
What will the studio be like for our Newborn Session? +
It will be very warm and dark in my studio space during newborn sessions. I recommend dressing in layers to all of my parents because you will start to sweat after some time in the warmth. The heat helps keep baby happy and sleepy.
What if my baby cries/ my children do not cooperate? +
Babies cry. That's totally okay and to be expected. However, if we can't get baby settled after some time, we will break and reshcedule on a better day for baby. During a regular portrait session, I will try my absolute best to keep everyone happy and engaged, however I cannot reschedule due to children (or grumpy spouses haha) unwillingness to cooperate.
What happens if we are late to our session? +
I completely understand that life happens! I will try to accomodate lateness as much as possible, however after 20 minutes, we will have to reschedule your session and fees might be incurred.
After Your Session:
How soon after our session will my photos be ready? +
Editing regular portrait sessions takes 4-6 weeks. Wedding turn around time is 12 weeks.
How do you deliver your images? +
I deliver all of my galleries via digital download link. This gives you full right to download, print, and share, as you would like.
Will you send me just a few photos right away? +
I do try to send sneak peeks within a week, but it is not always possible so I try not to make it a guarantee.
Can't you email me just a few images? +
Quite a bit of work goes into your images after your session, and it sounds easier to "send a few images" than it actually is. I like to focus on completing your whole gallry on time instead of racing through a few photos to send early.
How can we be sure our images won't be lost? How do you back up your images? +
I back up all of my images immediately after my sessions on to two separate hard drives and do not clear my cards until your session is delivered.
How long to you keep my images? +
I do not guarantee that your images will be available online after 60 days, so please download them when you receive your gallery.
